Former Puerto Rican boxer Prichard Colón has died at the age of 33, nearly 11 years after suffering a devastating brain injury during a 2015 professional fight. His father, Richard Colón, confirmed his death on August 13, 2026.

Colón sustained severe neurological damage during his bout against Terrel Williams in Fairfax, Virginia, in October 2015. He underwent emergency surgery after suffering a brain hemorrhage and spent 221 days in a coma. He subsequently required extensive care and rehabilitation for the remainder of his life.

Before the injury, Colón was regarded as a promising boxing prospect and had an undefeated 16–0 professional record with 13 knockouts. His death has prompted tributes from across the boxing community.

A specific medical cause of death has not been publicly disclosed. However, reports have emphasized the long-term consequences of the traumatic brain injury he suffered in the ring.
